About French 4

In this course, you will learn to understand longer French texts. You can answer open questions about these texts and you can express the main idea of the text in your own words. You can answer the questions the teacher asks you in French.

  • You learn to correctly apply the grammar knowledge acquired in previous courses in spoken and written texts. This includes verb conjugation and the use of the perfect tense, personal pronouns and the subjunctive. To practice this properly, the teacher will sometimes ask you to hand in a writing assignment, for example your CV in French or a job application letter in French.
  • Besides the formal side of the French language, you will also learn about other aspects of the language. Think about everyday language, informal language or youth language. In daily life in France, you will have to deal with this a lot. Because you will already have practised extensively with common expressions, you will have a lot of self-confidence in unfamiliar surroundings.

This course follows on French level 3, but can also be taken separately if you have A2- level. Not sure what your language level is? Then take our free placement test.
