Presentation Skills Training course
Level: Advanced (B2/C1)
Do you ever have to give a business presentation? And do you find this difficult or challenging? In this course, you work on your presentation skills so that public speaking becomes something you do as a matter of course.
Please note: this course is for native Dutch speakers.
About the course
In this course you will learn, among other things, how to:
- come across convincingly.
- involve your audience in your presentation.
- get your message across.
- achieve your desired goal.
Learning goals
The aim of this course is to:
- enhance your professional presentation skills.
- gain more self-confidence.
Method
During this presentation training course we work on the following topics:
- the structure of a presentation.
- non-verbal aspects of presenting.
- useful vocabulary for presentations.
- the use of audiovisual aids.
- speaking pace and pronunciation.
Time investment
- This training course consists of two full days at Babel in Utrecht or in the virtual classroom.
- To make sure that you learn as much as possible from the meetings, we expect you to spend about 2 hours per lesson on self-study. Of course, you will receive teaching materials and assignments for this, which will be discussed during the meetings.
Practical
- You will receive a certificate of participation if you have attended the training sessions and have given a short presentation.
- If you work or study at Utrecht University you will receive a 15% discount. Please register for the course using your UU email address. Your registration will then be processed automatically.
