NT2 language-learning materials
We use high-quality language-learning materials to help you master the Dutch language:
- De Opmaat: For our beginner courses we use the book “De Opmaat,” which was specially developed by our own teachers, Maud Beersmans and Wim Tersteeg. It is perfect for people with a college or university background who want to learn Dutch as a second language.
- De Sprong: In this book you will learn 2000 new words, practice with longer sentences and conjunctions, and get the chance to improve your writing skills. The book also includes online exercises and assignments to get even better.
- The Finale: Are you going to take the NT2 Program 2 state exam? ‘De Finale’ increases your vocabulary with 2,000 new words, and helps you strengthen your grammar skills. You’ll dive into longer texts, learn to write better, and prepare for formal situations. Plus, you get access to newspaper articles and exercises similar to the exam.

Would you like to take an NT2 course at Babel for the first time? With the entry level test, you can test your current language level for free and without obligation. The level test takes about 60 minutes and will be reviewed by one of our teachers within 5 working days.

Registering with a DUO loan
Are you entitled to a student loan from the DUO (Educational Administration Service) to help pay for your Dutch course? Duo loan
Would you like to take an NT2 course in preparation for the Staatsexamen or the Inburgeringsexamen? Then you can make use of a DUO loan. You can apply for a loan via DUO.
